The game auto-updates to the latest version in Gog Galaxy, but I don't see that the offline installers are updated as of the time of this post.

Is it normal that GOG Galaxy receives updates far in advance of the website? As a Linux user that means the only way to access the latest version is to install GOG Galaxy via Wine or a Windows partition. I'm a bit disappointed to learn that the website provides updates days after their proprietary client.

It is unfortunately becoming more and more common, and is a pain both for Linux users and for those of us who prefer to download the latest offline installers instead of relying on the client.

Typically the offline installer is available within a week or two, but it does seem to take longer and longer for the latest offline installer to be available as time goes on.
Currently it seems the GOG version is on 84e while Steam is on 84f (and the patch notes for a 84g patch have been posted as well already), can someone else confirm if their GOG version goes only up to 84e as well?
Hopefully any future hotfixes won't take as long.

I can confirm that the current version installed through GOG Galaxy is 0.9.84e, and the current offline installer is 0.9.17h1, as of the time of this post.
Thank you for confirming.

Here's hoping it's only a few days delay after the most recent hotfix like the last update was.
Is anyone else experiencing bugs that should have been patched according to the patchnotes provided in game?

My game claims it is version 0.984e, yet I am still able to reproduce bugs that should have been patched out as of 0.984d (e.g. the vending machines and police station are still switched...).

The 0.9.84e stand alone installer is up.

Same problem there:

It displays as 0.984e, but the older bugs are still there.
