Berzerk2002: Back then it was. Nowadays this is not the case anymore. Sure the german version remains censored but as a German customer you are able to get the uncensored international version without any problems now.
I'm not German, but I live in Germany and yeah, especially older WW2 games used to be no-go on consoles. The disk just doesn't have other languages and it is only the censored version. And sorry, but I am not going to play a WW2 game if my side speaks German and the enemy is not wearing Nazi symbols. I much prefer if my side speaks English and we shoot at the guys who are wearing Nazi symbols. But that's just me.
