I started New Order, and on Chapter 3, and I realized I did not get all the collectibles from the previous two chapters. Will that affect the game in a signifcant way, or is it more of a side item?

(No spoilers if possible please.)

Nope it will not affect the main game. Some collectibles do have a purpose later though.
