Want the bug portal to martens bluff without upsetting the rhinos too much?
• I like the pickpocket skill but it's a waste of time when it comes to getting the key you need from this guy.

1. Do all the standard quests to get the bugs and rhinos to play nice together.

2. Tell sgt Kunar that "destiny arrives tonight"… "zant" send us and "yes" we are willing to pay you.
20,000 experience for every party member… including Saxx.

3. Dismiss any Umpani npc (like Saxx) and make sure no patrols are about to walk past.

4. Take one last look at what sgt Kunar has to sell then kill him and take the key he dropped to open the door behind him.

5. Collect any npc (like Saxx) that you had to dismiss and walk across to the other building and go talk to Sgt. Balbrak… say "Kunar", then say "spy" and he will demand evidence so hand him the fake pass that Kunar gave you.
75,000 experience for every party member… including Saxx.

Am I the only one that can see the irony of Saxx being ok with helping a spy but not ok with attacking that same spy?

What can possibly go wrong?
1. Attacking Kunar while any Umpani aligned npc is in your party will make them leave your party and attack you.
2. Letting any Umpani see you attack Kunar, i.e. a passing patrol or he runs outside will bugger you up.
3. The dreaded BIG RED button… don't press this!

• Unlike the other portals in the game, this one is an area transit so Saxx won't want to pass it… the normal work-around (un-conscious or otherwise oblivious) apply.
not to recommend if your party setup requires a vendor for musket balls,
besides the fact that you let your characters participate the knowlwdge that you have as player,
this would usually result in a very heavy penalty from the DM if you do that in a p&p rpg session.

besides, "destiny arrives tonight" AFAIK only works if either Zant told you the password
or if it was revealed by a mindread spell, see the fact modification in NPC script block ...
(f...ck, the editor just crashed on alt+tab, killing an unsaved terrain edit in Dwarven country)
103 and block 137 the 2nd fact conditional jump.


However, you can get access to the teleporter without killing kunar,
of course also by transferring player knowledge to Pcs and the help of a bug:

Move into the bar to the northern wall, look nnw (~ 20°) and try to run into the wall.
You will slide to the east until the rack stops your movement, if you keep running into that direction you will eventually pop through the wall into no mans land,
from there you can move "through" the walls into the storage room with the teleporter
the "path" is quite narrow, easy to pop out of the building, but walking sounds will provide feedback whether you are on the right track .

The only player vs character knowledge is kicking Saxx before killing the spy... Zant tells you the destiny password himself as part of the normal quest line so just follow the alliance path instead of killing the rhino general.
