A game as formative as Wizardry deserves to be put properly in its context. I'd love to see interviews with developers and taste makers of the time regarding the impact of the series and this game in particular. A deep dive into the tabletop games that inspired Wizardry, the reality of the technology of the time and how it shaped the game, how the game influenced the genre. In particular, how it helped shape the development of the JRPG. There's a great deal to talk about and I'm sure a great many different physical artifacts to be scanned and photographed for posterity.

I bought this new release immediately because I believe what you're doing to preserve this game and make it available again is important to understanding and appreciating the RPG genre and the broader medium of games. Please continue your work to its natural conclusion and make a definitive reference people can learn from and appreciate for decades to come.

Thanks. We'd love to tell the making-of story and we have some cool ideas on how to do it, but we need to make sure the core game gets through early access. Hopefully we get the chance to extend what we've started to its logical conclusion!

I second this. Wizardry is a foundational game and should be treated as such, with the presentation of historical docs and motivations behind its game mechanics, nowadays regarded as hardcore.
I would love to see the same treatment given to Karateka, with diferent versions, with Robert Sirotec's commentaries in-game (I know it would be almost impossible to get Andrew on board).
Although I appreciate a remake, I think Wizardry deserved to be known as it was in 1980, even with its archaic graphics.
