Bought the Iris MK1 targeting thing, went out and did a mission, came back and now have no targeting. There's no option to repair or sell. When I load the game it's there, but it disappears again. This also happened with shields.

Any idea what's going on? I can't really afford to buy the same upgrade over and over every time I dock.

When your ship is hit really hard some equipment can be in "grey" status. It mean it's damaged and beyond any repair. After landing it will be automatically removed from status and equipment window.
