I've noticed a couple of things that appear to be bugs. I'm playing on a Mac.

First, the deck of my ship has this weird hue of green no matter what hull paint I use.

Second, there have been a few towns that I have captured from pirates that was awarded to one of the other factions, even though they were not present in the area. Twice they somehow were turned over to my faction, after some time. This last time, it's remained under Valiant control, while I'm Consulate.
