Just wondering if the monsters/creatures are supposed to be invisible?

I seem to be getting wounded wherever I walk. Nothing visible doing damage...

Is this normal?

No, definately not normal if you are just walking around but if you are fully zoomed in, enemies/turrets can shoot at you from beyond visual range. Also some buildings have spikes on floor and bottom half of the world is filled with deadly gas and you'll need breathing mask to survive any lenght of time down there. Don't outright remember if there were other terrain hazards present (well don't walk on grinders either ;-p).

Do you happen to be on Windows XP? Althought some people have manage to get it run on XP It's not supported and is clitchy at best. You also need quite recent display drivers and graphics card that supports OpenGL 3 or higher. While my card itself is openGL 3 (up to 4.1 actually) capable, game would not even start with my drivers.
Running win 7. I see the people, but no creatures at all...

Only got through the starter temple ( died 5 times due to unknown sources of damage). Shooting invisible basilisks took a while...

And frequently empty areas just causing damage just standing there. No spikes, plain floor or grass, 5-10 damage per second being lost...

Looks like I wasted cash on this one if its so buggy,,,

I dug into steam forums and there have been few reports of what you are seeing. Three possible causes and solutions have been suggested but unfortunately none of the aflicted seem to have reported the results or even if they tried any of them:

1st is, as I already mentioned, outdated graphics drivers. Due to use of OpenGL, game requires quite recent graphics drivers. If yours are outdated, please update.

2nd and 3rd are basically same thing. If your system has secondary integrated graphics card you may need to update it's drivers as well. Other problem with this setup is that your computer wont nessearily switch to using the dedicated craphics card when it should and you may be running Windforge with the integrated one. If that is the case, you may have to force computer to use the dedicate one. Unfortunately I don't know how. Bios setting? Driver setting?

Just to verify, does your craphics card have 512MB (minimius requirement) or more of dedicated ram (this is different from your system ram) and are your drivers up to date (at least from last year or so)? What model it is and is it ATI card (majority of problems seem to be with ATI cards. The one's experiencing same as you were ATI mobility radeon HD 5650 and Radeon HD 5145. Third did not reply to devs request for detail.)? Also is your computer laptop?

You could contact both GOG support and developer (contact@snowedin.ca) about the problem.
Thanks for the assistance. So far no luck getting support from GOG or SnowedIn.

Gonna have to try and get a refund now it seems...
For what its worth, my video info:

Asus EAH5770 with 1GB RAM, and openGL up to 4.0 is 100% supported.

So... stuck atm.

Well it's weekend so I doupt Snowed In Studios has anyone at the office and GOG has only barebones staff for emergencies. But if GOG staff can't suggest anything during the next week, that unfortunately may be your only option.

Problem specific to Radeon HD 5xxx seriers mayhaps? Two of the people on steam having the problem also had HD 5xxx series cards.

Hopefully GOG or Snowed In Studios can provide you a solution.
