On what platforms will WHF be released on?

We Happy Few is currently available on Windows PC (Early Access and GOG.com Games in Development) and Xbox One (Game Preview). We have also announced Mac and Linux versions, which will be available on or shortly after the full release.

The game is not exclusive to Windows 10.


When will WHF be released?

When it’s done! We had initially planned 6-12 months in Early Access/In Development, but may spend more time to make sure the game is up to scratch.


Are you releasing on PS4?

We have not announced a PS4 version yet.


Why decide to join games in development on GOG?

We have been working with our community since PAX East 2015 and our Kickstarter, and we highly value community feedback. Early Access/In Development is the next step, and allows us to get great feedback on mechanics and the general state of the game. Please keep in mind that we won't be able to change everything, especially if it goes against the lore of the world (please stop trying to make guns happen... guns are not going to happen). But otherwise, we'll be focusing on increasing the quality, replayability and variety of gameplay in the world during the Early Access/In Development period.


How can the community participate in the development process?

We'll be reviewing community feedback on both the GOG and our Compulsion Games forums, sending out surveys, and doing our best to incorporate the feedback into updated builds. We're aiming to send out updates every month, with the idea that they'll both address community feedback and add new content to play. If you want to look at our track record, feel free to look at the Compulsion Games forums or the weekly updates we have been posting since June 2015.


What is the current state of We Happy Few?

The early access / in development version will be mostly feature complete, at an alpha level. You can fight, conform, hide, and escape the islands (although to start, we will only have access to 3/5 islands). There is a lot of content still to be created, including more islands, encounters, NPC behaviours, gameplay features, and a proper final challenge/ending, and a large amount of work to do on balance and polish.


I’m having trouble running the game, what can I do?

When will I receive my Kickstarter rewards?

The keys to the game, the posters and T-shirts have been sent (if you haven’t received yours, email us at support@compulsiongames.com).

The soundtrack and the art book are still a work in progress since we are still mid development. All the merchandise will be shipped once we release the game (no early spoilers!).


Will the price change on release day?

Yes, the price will be lower during In Development phase.


Can I record footage or live stream the pre-alpha?

Can I send you my ideas for your next game?

We don’t have enough time to implement our own ideas! You should pursue them yourself, and not let your dreams be dreams.


Will you translate the game in [...]?

The VO will remain in English and the game currently has English and French subtitles. For 1.0 (the final game) we will have EFIGS and aiming for more.
