It reaches this point and proceeds no further. I also own the original from GOG, but I can't get the sound to work (and the packages required don't seem to exist for Arch).

Wine version 8.16. I also tried the lutris version of wine 5.6.6-x86-64 and the Proton and those didn't fix it either.

I'm also on Arch and just installed it in my 64Bit wine prefix within Lutris. I've had the 'mf' package installed through winetricks in that prefix.

It fixed many games that have videos though additional video codecs might be necessary for the video to actually work.
