After playing several abortive games of the GOG version of Wasteland, I keep encountering shops that quit buying or selling to my party members. I've had it happen in Highpool, the Ag Center, and now Needles.

My party is trying to clear the sewers in Vegas, but has run out of 7.62 ammo. Now Leroy's Store in Needles, which was my resupply locale, has quit dealing with me.

This didn't happen in the original Wasteland, if I recall correctly. Is this a new "feature" introduced by GOG, or some kind of bug in the program? If so, how best to work around it?

Cheers and thanks in advance!
I think it's a well-known bug. When your last (quick)save is at the shop, when you reloading a game this "kills" a shop. As I understood your party "erases" the shop being on the same square. So, to avoid this you have to make a step away from the shop and save manualy AFTER shopping.
The shops can run out of items it you use them a lot. The shop in Quartz no longer has clips in my game. Try the shop in Darwin, it usually has plenty. Watch out for the encounters they can be rough on low level characters, Enter the lower left side of Darein

I think the shops in my game are buggy, rather than out of stock. Last good visit to Needles the shop had tons of lall kinds of items, and I'd planned on picking up a bunch of 7.62 ammo, but when I stepped back in it wouldn't allow me to even enter the store portion of Leroy's.

The shop in Quartz never did stock ammo in my game, just melee weapons and miscellaneous junk.

I'm playing on for the extra challenge - we'll see if I make it!
