dogeddie: If I buy wasteland 2, will it be fully patched by GOG, or do I need to manually patch it?
Generally, is the game pretty decent? Sort of mixed reviews, but I'd like to try it. Thanks
Patching here is super-easy. They have the lastest patch available to DL with the game installers and once you install you can just update the game by running the patch .exe.
I like the game a lot. It took some time planning my group (looked ahead at the skills of the followers to help guide me.) Learning the feel of it and how to handle combat took a little time, but just a little. I recommend playing on Ranger difficulty, that seems more "normal" than the one below that and actually challenges you to learn how to do combat rather than makes combat a cluser-fuck of annoyance (IMO.) I love the rotating camera, now that I'm used to it, and the combat scenerios are mostly fun. With this feature the game doesn't just show you everything on the screen, you might actually have to turn (the camera) and look at a shelf or behind a wall to get the right angle to see something you might need, and that is realistic and fun for me. The story is good and the atmosphere is great.
