Hey, I'm tinkering around in Wastelands'd Dosbox confg. file in order to adjust the resolution to 1680x1050 fullscreen with the proper aspect ratio (black bars on the side of screen). I'm having no luck with the settings, here are the default:

fullscreen=true
fulldouble=false
fullresolution=1280x720
windowresolution=original
output=surface
autolock=true
sensitivity=100
waitonerror=true
priority=higher,normal
mapperfile=mapper-0.74.map
usescancodes=true

I've messed around with changing the fullresolution, windowresoultion, and output, but with no luck. I also changed aspect to "true", but that makes no difference. I've tweaked many other GOG Dosbox confg files with success, but not this one. Any insight as to how to play this game at my monitors native res (1680x1050) with the proper aspect ratio would be awesome.
Hi!

This game doesn't use DOSBox I'm afraid. It seems to be using it's own engine / wrapper.

Yes it's stretched and uses an ugly looking scaler...

What a shame. Better off sourcing the original DOS version it seems.

That's really unfortunate, it looks quite disappointing as it stands. Thanks for taking a look, Mauwurf1977. GOG, could you please update this release of Wasteland with proper Dosbox mod-ability for resolution and aspect ratio? The current release is inadequate for modern machines and displays.

*EDIT* So after contacting Inexile support, it turns out that the config file in the GOG Wasteland directory (wl.default.conf) is not the one you edit to correct the aspect ratio. The config file you want to edit is located here: %localappdata%\inXile entertainment\Wasteland\wl.conf

This is the location for Windows 7/8 (it differs for other OS). What you want to change is the setting "aspect" from "false" to "true". As well if you want, the resolution can be changed to your desktop, to get a slightly better scaling effect. This fixes the stretched image problem perfectly.
