I own the original DOS version but heard there are some changes in the GOG version. Is there a list of exact improvements?

Trying to justify whether to buy GOG version or not.

Thanks.

Not many improvements actually. This was taken from the GOG store page:

Featuring toggle-able modern updates such as new paragraph voice over, new music tracks and updated portraits. Play in classic mode to get the original experience.

If you're happy with the original that you already own, I feel you can skip this and wait for Wasteland 2.
They added some optional features such as:

- Improved character/enemy portraits (looks similar to using a HQ filter in Dosbox)
- Voice-over
- Music by Mark Morgan

Other changes/additions:

- The paragraph text has also incorporated into the game so that users don't need to look it up separately.
- Support for multiple save games
Thanks.

In-game paragraphs and multiple saves sounds good to me. But don't like the idea of HQ filter look from DosBox, prefer original pixely graphics. Can you toggle individual improvements?

EDIT: Apologies, I see in the game description that they are toggleble. Think I'm going to get it!

The similarity of the HQ filter with DOSBox is probably related to the fact that The Original Classic re-release actually uses a custom build of DOSBox. This custom build is used to run the actual MS-DOS version from original files while inserting the additional features into the game (if enabled).
So is it possible to run it with new features on my own build of DosBox? Or will it only work via GOG's executable?

Reason I ask is that I want to play this version on my iPad.

inXile apparently has published the source code for the build used in The Original Classic (it probably didn't hurt that DOSBox was open source to begin with). I don't have it installed at the moment but supposedly the link to the source code can be found from EULA.
