I have the Windows Digital Deluxe Edition of Wasteland 2. I have installed patch 2.1, and I keep getting a crash trying to return to Ranger Station after finishing the radio tower section. On trying to install patch 2.2 (with filename "patch_wasteland2_2.3.0.12.exe"), it says I have the wrong version of the game. Since I'm able to run the game, I have the right version of the game, but the wrong patch is being downloaded. I just deleted the file, re-downloaded it, and it's still the wrong version of the patch. I sent a support email about this on Thursday (10/16), and I still haven't received an answer. Is it possible to download the patch from the official Wasteland 2 site, or can someone on here poke the GOG staff to link the Windows 2.2 patch to the correct file? I can't go any farther without being able to get back into Ranger Station, and that patch is the only possible solution to my problem right now. Thanks in advance, everyone.

When did you install this patch?

When Patch 2 came out, GOG, in their infinite wisdom, named it... patch 2.1, so if you didn't DL and install the 2.1 patch (it's around 1.5 GB) within the last week or so, then that's the one you need. Then install the 2.2 patch, which is a hotfix for 2.1 (you probably don't need it if you're playing in English, but it won't hurt to install it anyway).

There are two patches on GOG's Windows version page. I have downloaded and installed the 1.5 GB version 2.1 patch. My problem is with the 2.2 patch (1.5 MB in size). The 2.1 patch doesn't allow me to re-enter Ranger Station, so I have been trying to install the 2.2 patch so that I can hopefully proceed with the game.

And to answer your question, I applied the 2.1 patch prior to starting my game. I would have applied the 2.2 patch, but it was the wrong version back then, too.

After talking to technical support, they told me to re-download and re-install the game and its patches. First, I uninstalled the game (it leaves the save games intact if you say so). The re-download took a bit, as I have a crappy connection and it crashed halfway through the main download. The re-install went okay, and both patches successfully applied themselves (I rebooted after each one, just to be safe).

Now, I am able to re-enter Ranger Citadel and proceed with the game. Thanks. :)
