I'm a longtime comic book reader, my favorite authors are Garth Ennis, Alan Moore, and Mark Millar, so I've read a fair share of comics from both independent and major publishers. I immediately recognized, as patients in the AG Center's infirmary, "J. Woodrue" as the Jason Woodrue, the Floronic Man, who I think was best written by Alan Moore and then Mark Millar in the Swamp Thing series. "A. Olsen" can be none other than Alex Olsen, from the very first Swamp Thing story that was written by Len Wein and was published in House of Secrets #92 in 1971. "A. Holland" is obviously Alec Holland, the human consciousness manifested as a plant elemental popularly known as Swamp Thing. "P. Isley" must be Pamela Isley, otherwise known as Poison Ivy, a popular Batman foe. I have no idea who patient "J. Wynham" is, however. Anyone else have any idea?

I found this by trying different names starting with J: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Wyndham
[...] "Many of his works were set in post-apocalyptic landscapes." [...]
and more here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Day_of_the_Triffids
"The Day of the Triffids is a 1951 post-apocalyptic novel about a plague of blindness that befalls the entire world, allowing the rise of an aggressive species of plant." [...]
