Have you thought about making the .24 patch optional? Perhaps after starting the installer you're prompted whether you want the .24 patch option or just the original 1.03 install?
Sort of like how you have the new installers set where DOSBox is an optional install?

But why? Isn't Game essentially broken without the patch?
The main problem it fixes is:
"The problem is that all random events in the game like spell chance critical hits...etc is broken. Nothing will happen unless it's 100% sure to happen. This makes most spells useless as well as all random items since all you get is a Ring of Elven Greed no matter how many chests you open."

For a short while I thought it was going to get controversial, so I figured this might be a good way to get around that.
Patch 3 seemed fine on the disc version. I got varied drops in the chests, at least I thought I did. I have thte disc and will play a game off the disc at patch 3. There are 3.14 before the .24 patc h available on the Warcraft Battly Cry Web site. Can I use the .24 patch on my Wife?
