Downloaded the game a while back and it was in its base form, but I recently redownloaded when I got a new pc and for some reason it seems to have automatically added the unofficial patch. I always like the summoner, necromancer, and druid's ability to stock up on summoned help while you build your base so having them on unwanted (and rediculously short) timers is highly annoying. Not to mention a lot of unwanted skill changes, ie the tinkers Engineer ability use to add base hp for buildings, which was dead useful for races with low hp buildings like fey, now its percentage based so the only people who really see a difference is the dwarves and other high hp building races.
Is there any way to prevent this and get the base version back? Any help would be appreciated, I am hoping this isn't a forced addition to the WB3 file

I'm afraid, to my knowledge, this is all that you can get. There is no abilty to trace the game backwards.

You have to have downloaded it back in 2009 as unofficial patch was added soon after release to fix broken game (it was assumed that the original devs botched it when they removed DRM/made downloadable version as game was broken in ALL DD services it was available):

"The problem is that all random events in the game like spell chance critical hits...etc is broken. Nothing will happen unless it's 100% sure to happen. This makes most spells useless as well as all random items since all you get is a Ring of Elven Greed no matter how many chests you open."
While there's no way to return to last official patch without breaking the game, there may be way to rewert the controversial changes UOP makes using the patch Ahatch, the creator of 1035MOD, posted here. You will lose the fix GOG made that solved the problem with invisible units on 3GB+ systems but there's workaround for that posted at the bottom of the patch topic (run in game in XP compatibility mode and as administrator).

Huh, well I don't remember it being this way, but I guess I was mistaken. I think I had a disc of WB3 back then so maybe I just misremembered which "version" I was playing. Ah well, pity they are permanent changes, kinda ruined the game for me and I love the Warlords Battlecry series. Thanks for input
In short... The unofficial patch has added too many ugly little unfinished characters...The game is presently un-enjoyable....Help. I need the official wbc3 please.
