I owned the original version of WBC3, and I am relatively certain that when my base was under attack, I did not get the text message "Your buildings are being attacked, bitches!" However, this is the message I get in the GOG version of the game.
Of course, I may be wrong, and this strangely profane Easter egg may have been present in the old version, but it seems as though it's been added in at some point, maybe through a cracked or otherwise edited version of the game.
It's not the end of the world, and I am more of a purist than a prude. I like to live in the moment and remember how much I enjoyed these old games, and the post-production cursing is ruining the mood. Is there a way I can get a "decursed" version, more in keeping with the original? Has anyone found anything like this in any other GOG games?

I also noticed this. It also doesn't particularly bother me, but if people are slipping uninteresting hacks like this in, it does make me worry about what else might be able to lurk in the executable code.

Well said. This also crossed my mind.

Took me a while to find it, because it isn't the message for when you're under attack: It's when your buildings are being converted by an enemy. Good question as to why it's there, though. Maliciousness or a prank by the mod makers? Probably a prank; sounds like something a "pro" would say to a "noob" for letting their mines were get captured.
Either way, it's easy enough to fix. The line is in WBC3 Folder\English\game.txt. Just snip the end off and you're golden.
As for malware in the code... possible, but I doubt it. Someone would have found it by now, with all the antivirus software out there. I would like to know where GOG got the patch, though. I can find 1.03.23 through Google, but not 1.03.24.
Edit: I mailed GOG about it and got a response: the .24 is a addition by GOG so the game will run on newer, high-end computers. Patch notes say units could go invisible on 3gb+ systems. Good to know.

Interesting. I emailed GOG the same day I posted this and haven't heard from them at all.
It got mixed up in the unofficial patch process from years ago.
