Hello fellow WH40k fans!

I've bought Gladius on GOG and probably, as many of us, would like to see proper hot-seat mode in this game. I've decided to write e-mail to developer and he informed, that due to limited resources, crew, time and simultanous turns in game, there won't be present hot-seat mode during game's release.

HOWEVER - I've also learned that this feature will be considered (to be implemented in one of the future patches), if there will be enough interest in this feature.

So, that's why I've created this topic. If you wish to give clear signal for developer, just write here! Simple "+1" will be enough, but if you wish to write anything else - feel free, as long as you're telling here "YES!" for hot-seat in Gladius.

I want a hotseat mode please!
I've always had the best multiplayer fun in hotseat. That would really suit this game well.
Count me in. This game's perfect for it.
Clue me in... I am an old gamer when hotseat was the norm for multiplayer because the internet was still only in Star Trek. I see this request for a number of games or people lamenting it being gone. Why? Whats the appeal? LAN I totally understand but hotseat makes no sense to me. Learn me Papa Homer.
Thanks a lot for all voices for "yes", I highly encourage all others, who didn't done it yet, to write here your vote as well :)

@muttly13 - there are plenty of reasons, depending on player, here are some chosen by me:
- it's nice social experience, since you're meeting face to face with other player/s, and playing in the similar way as in "classic" board game
- it's the simplest solution if you have someone else near you and you just want to play with this person - just one computer, turning game into hot-seat mode and voila
- it doesn't require from other player(s) to buy the game, which is in my opinion very cool feature especially if you wish to play with someone from your family OR play with someone who didn't had contact with game earlier but you wish to encourage him/her to play with you

And even en courage him to buy the game.
I'd love a hot-seat mode, it would get a lot of play time around my place.
So, any news on this? I would love a hot seat mode too.
On Pandora: First Contact (by the same dev team) you could emulate hot-seat by running two parallel instances of the game on a single system, start a network game, and switch between instances so each player plays using her own. Using virtual desktops on Linux it's even easier to do!

I still need to try it with Gladius (just bought the game), I'll report back here once I've done it.

Of course, an officially supported hot-seat mode would be better ;)

Looking forward to hearing the results of this :) it'd be a good workaround to have if we don't get an offical hot-seat mode.

I really enjoy how hot-seat can open up a game to become a party game, have a few mates over, grab some snacks and drinks, enjoy the game!

Thanks for the reminder, I think I'm going to give it a try during the week-end ;)
