It takes a lot to do so ... and then it's very fragile.

Set Compatibility to WIn 98. Color reduction etc is not needed.

To address issue where game loads but SMs cant take orders - reboot

Also works for CTD issues.

3 Small images or warped old VGA like graphics - make sure *nothing* else is running. It seems to hate sharing anything active.

Put Norton or any other programs that pop up or send notifications to Silent or off.

Don't Alt + Tab for any reason.

If all of the above are true on Windows 8.1 it should run smoothly.

GOG Folks - glad you got this fantastic game going but would appreciate if you could make it a bit more stable / resilient.

Would like to see you make a tested setup perhaps with DXWind from your launcher to give us ALT + TAB capability with ongoing stability.
