The game tells me I am fighting "nva" forces. What does nva stand for? I am trying to make it into warsaw pact, east germany, etc, but no luck.

NVA, Nationale Volksarmee, is the East-German 'People's Army'.

It can be a little confusing to english speaking North American audiences as the acronym is more commonly used to refer to the 'North Vietnamese Army' of what they call the 'Vietnam War' in the US.

(The 'Vietnam War' is the US-centric few years in the middle of 'The Second Indochina War')
