Would be nice to see a pause mod in which you can move over the map and give orders to your units.
Like in Total War Serie for example.

This would be awesome but I don't think it will ever happen.

Since a large portion of the game revolves around the multiplayer ladders, I doubt it will ever have a pause feature officially, although it would be nice to have at least for the singleplayer, so this is a good task for the modders. But then, this would take away the suspense and the realism I think..

Or rather add the active pause, and players who don't want to use it for "realisms sake" simply pretend there isn't an active pause. Lets not ALL have to suffer not having one just because some players think it might shave 10% of the game's "realism"!!!!

I suppose it depends on the player, but IMO games like this one can be UTTERLY RUINED by not having an active pause. The AI just totally overwhelms you with 20 different groups all over the map, the human cannot even begin to co-ordinate and cope with 20 things at once..... and get's utterly stomped, again and again, becomes totally f-d off with it, and smashes the monitor! :)

same here !

any chance for mod / cheat for active pause?
Cheat engine works perfectly fine for this game to reduce speed to barely noticeable progress with those included premade settings. Not sure if you can actually pause it.
Anyway, full control is a nice thing to have but it makes it incredibly easy. The only real challenge left for me in the campaign was to not lose a single (important) unit without saving... Which makes the shortcomings of AI and overall design very obvious. Take it slow. Never risk anything and you're sure to win.
In my oppinion, the first game of this kind: R.U.S.E. was faar supperior in singleplayer to any of the wargame series. There was no pause either but actual design involved in the campaign while the new games only throw tons of units and "dynamic" scenarios at you. The most fatal flaw in R.U.S.E was probably those cutscenes you couldn't skip.
The new games might be better at overall gameplay and multiplayer, but I'm faar too lazy to learn all these unit stats...
It's a shame that R.U.S.E. will never again be available as it seems... I bought it on an old Steam-account that I lost... Playing Wargame only makes me wish I could play it again.. In times like these - you got to love pirates ;)
