Ok I’m using a logi tech wireless mouse and it has no speed button on it but it’s perfect for normal use . But when I log on for some Warcraft it’s hyper sensitive and very hard to play the game this way. Has anyone else experienced this? Do I have to get a wired mouse now?

Thanks In advance

Is there is HZ switch button on it? Did frequency option present in driver/soft?

Second one. Make sure logioptions.exe or whatever it called - apps bundled with drivers for this or any else devices - are closed and not running in background. They have overlays not visible, and this overlay make old games play in weid manner.

Third one. In Theme Hospital (patched Win version not present on GOG) i get glitchy slow controls when mobile headset plugin in audio output. Using USB headset or speakers solve it for me. Some else - and more nowadays games., sometimes vise versa glitchy with USB. Try unplug not needed usb devices, change audio output method or settings.
And back to first ones. Changes settins for still plugged in input/audio devices and then close entirely those applications for devices. Exclude them from autostart (to do this you need 3rd party tools, Win8+ not allow to do that, only very few random apps appear in Autostart tab in Task Manager).

There is mouse speed opyion in ingame menu. Ingame menu settings available only during missions.
Ok so the mouse speed in the game preferences is how fast the map window moves not the actual speed of the mouse itself. Thanks for the reply I’m completely computer illiterate so I’ll first try a wired mouse lol. And see if that helps

I used the Logitech G Hub software to create a mouse profile with a lower DPI setting for Warcraft II. Half of my normal DPI worked well. If your mouse isn't supported by G Hub, there might be another Logitech utility that does support it. Otherwise, you'll probably have to investigate Windows' mouse settings to adjust things.
http://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Troubleshooting_guide/Input_problems
plus Windows article page.
There is mouse acceleration that never work properly. And there is issues in all Windows that this sometimes turn back on randomly. Should be described somewhere on PCGW how disable it entirely or tweaked to make no differences.

Another solutions listed on this articles on URL. Look to other section too, not just mouse. Some input wrappers probably required for you. GOG have own GOG DX Wrapper but it differ from games release to release. Some most recent games/updates releases come with Dinput wrapper, most else and subj game fome only with Ddraw GFX wrapper.

Dont forget to configure this wrapper from dxcfg.exe or launcher. Make sure you launch them as admin.
If game or Galaxy client installed not to X/Games/ you must run client and games also as admin. And admin only. Put armin run to galaxy.exe or to GOG War2 Launcher (or BOTH!). Otherwise it will ignore what you configure or even maybe some dlls will be ignored.
Alays set Keep aspect ratio everywhere. That can affect mouse pointer too (thogh not the speed maybe).

Usually that additional utility apps are trash. And usually it is exactly them who bring issues. If there is no Frequency switcher on mouse maybe better install ot and setup. But exclude it from Windows autoload.

Logitec ulitilities known to bring issues for D1/Wc1-2. Terminate LogiOptions.exe process or any similar.
