I get the following error on launch

Can't create game module: can't create renderer instance, reason: can't create Direct3D device (0x8876086c, D3DERR_INVALIDCALL)

Following are the various things I tried to get it to work
1) Reinstall Directx June 2010 thing
2) Tried running dxwebsetup to update directx which said everything was fine
3) Downgraded NVIDIA Physx version to the one that the game tries to install
4) Verify game through Galaxy and it downloaded something about 231MB in size

None of them worked and I am unable to play the game. I'd be really grateful for any help I can get.

My system specs:
CPU: AMD A10-4600m
GPU: AMD 7660G + 7670M Dual Graphics
RAM: 6GB

I got it working by creating a file in Data/ folder inside game install, rcfg.xml with the following data in it

<Antialiasing>2</Antialiasing>
<Anisotropy>16</Anisotropy>
<TextureQuality>0</TextureQuality>

<HDR/>
</Renderer>

Curiously it shows the same error if Antialiasing is changed to 3 which is how it is shown in pcgamingwiki and other sites. I have no idea why it doesn't work for me though.

I have the same problem, after the install of the game, the game crashes on starting the game.

Does it crash or does it show a message like the one I posted above?

When i Start the game, it gets a black screen and a lot of secounds later i get the info, Game.exe is not working more.

That is my problem, and i cant fix it.

Oh, did you try the creating a config file like I said above? Post your system specifications. Shoot a mail to GOG support as well with DxDiag and everything.

Tried the same xml trick, win 7 64 fuckin' AMD CPU/GPU

Uhh, almost same problem - "Can't create game module: can't create renderer instance, reason: can't create Direct3D device (0x88760868, D3DERR_DEVICELOST)." xml file doesn't work for me.

My sys. specs: AMD Ryzen 2700, Win10 64, RAM 16 Gb.
