Well, I have just finished playing through the three separate episodes of AAoVHelsing. I quite enjoyed the first two, played a ranged character (M+K), with Katrina as wall, on normal. Reasonable skill trees, plenty of variety, although very linear, and pretty obvious plot line. So my question is, what on earth happened for Episode 3? Did they get a new team in? Skill trees - pretty much gone, story plain and forgettable, having to start at level 1 again, instead of click and hold to continue firing, this does a charge up, so it becomes a click fest, virtually no tower defense parts or quests (the quests boil down to - get to the next area). Good grief I was glad when it finished.

Am really hoping the final cut release (tomorrow?) does up the whole thing a bit. I have seen screenshots and videos where there is a big disc of skill tress, and there is supposed to be extra content and it all flows together. I will probably up the difficulty and go melee (controller) then for a change.

Anyone else played them, any thoughts?
Not tomorrow - October 7 has been the official date for the last week or so.

There isn't a ton of info available about Final Cut, but you can probably learn more from the recent Twitch stream:

People really didn't like VH3. They are keeping the six classes for VH3, but I hope the expanded trees give some meaningful choices when it comes to play style. In the original VH1 and 2, the Hunter class didn't have much incentive to go both melee and ranged. There weren't any active skills that worked with both, and there weren't enough passives to make hybrids work either. So splitting the class up makes sense from one viewpoint, but a bigger class that makes the existing skills more interactive would've been a nice thought IMO.
