Is there anyway to fix this? As soon as christoph gets out of bed the frames go to utter poo, and the only counter is to alt tab out and back in, and even doing that frames go back down to like 10 after half a minute or so. anyone else have this issue? A possible fix?

This is an nvidia driver issue. Install Nvidia 258.96 fixed the issue for me!
I'm having lag issues on my desktop with a Nvidia GeForce 8800. It's kind of funny because it runs on my crappy netbook (which is a POS) better than my desktop, hehe.

I also have the latest NVidia drivers as-well, so that's not the issue.

Redemption may have issues with newer Nvidia cards. Javokis, the creator of Age of Redemption, E-Mod, Wodal ect had this very issue with his 8800 and the only solution was switching to his ati card.
Strangely if I play the game with firefox open it fix the problem!
Wow, I've been plagued by this problem for awhile and I saw your post that having firefox opened fixs it. It fixed it for me too! It's weird but it works!

I guess that means Microsoft sabotaged it so Firefox fixed it (yeah, something like that :) )
