For some reason two of the books are back into Trips shop.

And the old trick of buy / sell back / buy / buy to get two copies of the books works again.

I think I prefer the "old" scheme though.
I think you can always buy mutliple versions of the book he sells, but you still should not be able to sell him different books and buy them back. Or do you suggest to move the books out of there again so you really can read them only once?
Yes the trick only works with the books he offers, not with any other.

And I didnt suggest anything, I just reported.

The trick saves you 6 XP for the cost of a couple hundred bucks (depends upon your financial skill).
I will remove it for the plus patch again, because I don't believe Troika thought about this.
Correction: you can just buy the first book, learn it, buy the same book a second time.

No need to first sell the book to Trip, he has multiple books (at least 3).
Yeah, but I fixed that in the latest release candidate. Either this trick should work on all bugs (basic) or none (plus).
In a shocking turn of events, my Inspection 9 Ventrue recently failed to get the information from Dr. Johansen(?) about how he found the sarcophagus.

I cant find anything in the patchnotes about that having changed.

By the way I like that Warehouse sneaking was made harder, by adding another criminal in a crucial spot, at least for the three clans without Obfuscate or Dominate. Make playing different clans more different.

It is this line: Restored Knox Perception check and made others consistent with it. I didn't want to spoil Johansen there but with Inspection 9 you should have got his information as he only checks for Perception > 3.

Oh whow.

That would mean from a near impossible to get check it went to something that realistically almost all characters will manage (with the exception of characters that completely forgo ranged combat, like most typically Gangrel).

Probably did something wrong in the dialogue then.
