In the thread "Slick Uplink - Themes Package" post #2 I followed the link to the moddb.com website. While there I noticed there was something referred to as "Realistic Sim" under the "Related Games" section on the rightside. That link led to another mod named "Uplink OS".

Best I can figure from the moddb website is that the "Slick Uplink" theme is actually for that "Uplink OS" mod/game.

The page for "Uplink OS" says it's the "gold" release as of 2017 Mar 3, meaning it's out of beta. The launch trailer looks interesting, but I haven't downloaded and tried out the mod/game yet. The mod developer admits in the description it could still use more work, and is a little bit buggy, but is stable and polished as could be for right now.

Below the trailer is a news section with a list of the previous betas, the most recent of which ( 2016 Oct 4) has a trailer showing gameplay of the tasks of the familiar tutorial in "Uplink: Hacker Elite", with the mod developer describing what's going on. Kind of quick paced, I had to pause it at times to look at the details of the new interface.

I didn't notice mention of "Uplink OS" in any of the other threads. Has anybody seen this before?

I don't know when I'll have time to explore this further, so I'm posting here in hopes I'll get back to it. Has anyone tried out "Uplink OS" yet?

I tried it for a few minutes and it seemed really great. What I'd like to do is get it running on macOS. It seems to be running properly in wine, but I can't figure out the graphics settings.

Does anyone know how to apply the Uplink OS mod to the Mac version?
