When you purchase a new gateway, do your hardware upgrades carry over?

I haven't played GOG's version yet, but hardware upgrades in previous versions did carry over.

I don't know what happens if you go from a machine with more hardware capacity to one with less.

Thanks, I just tried it and it does carry over.

I think they'll give you back some refund for the hardware that can't be installed. Not sure about any data that can't fit on the current memory though.
