This only happens with this game, its not my own mouse that's having problems, I have played other games on my PC and they all work fine.

But for Unreal 2: The Awakening, only in the main menu and pause menu the mouse acts really slow and laggy? And sometimes clicking on anything doesn't work. I had to Ctrl-Atl-Del to quit the game.

Is this a common problem with a simple fix?
Some older games have problems with gaming mice that have high polling rates (like 1000 Hz). I'm not sure if this is one of those games, but if you have some software for your mouse where you can change the polling rate to 125 Hz, it's worth trying that.

1) Go into Options --> Input --> Mouse Smoothing.

2) Uncheck the box next to Mouse Smoothing.

In some games, that can cause issues like the one you described.

This is the problem. Found that in other games using UE2 have this problem. It sucks, but we dont have a fix for this in UE2 games.
