My GOG games now won't run on WIN 8.1 64-bit!

What am I doing wrong?? (besides installing WIN 8.1 64-bit!)

Try and get DirectX 9.0c installed. It is okay to do so as it is separate to DX10 and DX11. Some users have had problems getting DX9c onto Windows 8, but it is possible. You might need to use the DirectX9 June 2010 Redistributable from the Microsoft Download site.

There's also an unofficial patch for unreal to make it run under directx10. It's just for the original Unreal though.

I think you need to provide a little bit more information as saying everything doesn't run doesnt really tell us much and we can only guess what your problem might be

I'd like to help you since I run W8.1 64-bit myself and my GOG games run fine so far but please provide a bit more info:)
