It's bizarre and even after a complete system power down and a reinstall of the game I can't seem to figure out this problem. The move forward seems to be stuck "on". No matter what game I bring up, new or saved, as soon as the game begins I'm moving forward and can't stop the input. Changing the input keys doesn't make any difference. Anyone have an idea where I can start? The game was working fine for a while and then this just started happening. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I know it is a long shot, but do you have a stuck key?
Or, if possible, clear out all key controls (leave movement key blank) and see if it still happens.

Have you got a joystick or gamepad connected to your PC? If so, try unplugging it before you start the game.

Are you by any chance running the game on a laptop?
Certain ACER Laptops, for example, have a history with seemingly stuck keys when playing games.

he already tried remapping the keys and still kept moving forward = so I don't think its a stuck key. I know that middle mouse buttons though will move you forward as well - check that that is not stuck!
If its not a stuck key then backup your saves and try a reinstall

I've come accross this problem before but can't remember what solved it. Perhaps disabling direct input in options might help.

Hmm, after reading a topic on a similar issue ( http://forums.beyondunreal.com/showthread.php?t=187083 ), I would suggest deactivating/removing any gamepads or joysticks.
