I had played Unepic several months ago and all had been great. Then I had uninstalled game and now installed it again. But now game crashes after 10-20 seconds: sometimes I have even been playing few seconds, sometimes it freezes in menu. I tried reinstalling game and GOG Galaxy, but all the same. Windows 7 x64. Help me, please.

Look into the game's folder or into %APPDATA%\unepic\ for a file named config.cfg, then open it with a text editor: delete everything within and save it as an empty file. Then try again running the game.

Nope, this don't work.

Considering that the game used to run flawlessly, I thought it could be a configuration problem. Is the configuration file still empty after the game's crash? You could try simply deleting the file instead of emptying it.

And you could open the file log_initGame.txt to examine the game's log.

I found in in Minidump File Summary in C:\Users\<MyName>\AppData\Local\CrashDumps\ that it was error 0xc0000005 ("The thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access"). According to the guidelines, I clean the register (it almost broke my Windows, silly me) and update all drivers with Driver Booster and game now works.
