There have been several updates to Undertale on Steam that have yet to make it here. One of the updates includes Japanese language support. You can find the update notes here: http://undertale.wikia.com/wiki/Updates#cite_note-9

Here's hoping GOG gets on this.

P.S. I know about the typo -_-

There was just an update to the GOG version that added Japanese support. I also tested naming the main character "Gaster" (as there reportedly has been a change in the way the game behaves in this case), and I got the new behavior.

You're welcome. (I actually downloaded the new update and tested the two things I mentioned. The nice thing about the "Gaster" name is that it can be checked without actually starting a new game, and the behavior changed with the update.)

According to their own site (http://undertale.com/help) the current version is 1.08 and GOG only has 1.06
