Hey guys,

I've just bought this gem and can't get the controls. In the manuals, there's nothing.

I have Mac with magic mouse.

I've found that right button is for walking and left is kind of for action. But I don't get, for example, how to eat. Double click on the apple changes the cursor to crosshair, but it does nothing.

Then I've found that 'C' is for activating combat mode. And 'I' is for paper doll. But are there any other keys? For opening your backpack, for example?

Really, I don't get how to control this thing. How to get items from the ground and use them?

Please help out! :)

Click on someone with the crosshair to use the item on them. In this case, they will eat the apple. There's no button to open backpacks directly, but 'Z' will open status windows for each character. Pick things up by dragging and dropping onto a character or inside their inventory. Use any items with double left click. Hold right click for movement - the closer the cursor is to the edge of the screen, the faster you'll go.

In Serpent Isle, 'B' opens the spellbook, 'F' will automatically find food in your inventory to fully feed someone if possible, 'M' opens the map, 'K' uses the keyring if you have it, 'P' uses a lockpick, 'W' uses your pocketwatch, 'L' opens a group status window, and 'S' opens the save/load menu.

There's a few other keys that you probably won't bother to use. Check the reference cards.
Oh, thank you very much!

So, in the first game, there's no map?

And I don't get how I should pick things up from the ground. And also, how I can use such things as bed to sleep in.

Thanks!
There's a map; there's just no hotkey for it. You have to doubleclick it in your inventory. Everything is used by doubleclicking, even the beds. You click and hold to pick up items, then move them onto your character or directly into their backpack.

SI added extra hotkeys so you don't have to open your inventory as often for commonly used things.
Thanks! I'm just not used to such interface and control scheme... I hope that won't stop me from playing that great game through. :)
