I just picked it up after forever and it wont play the intro movie. I do get the voice narration and music, and gameplay is not affected. But the cutscene video is black. Wat Do?

Try changing the graphics mode from overlay to something else, like directdraw or d3d.

Has anyone a Solution for this Problem?
Changing the Machine-Type / Videoutput etc doesn't work...

IIRC you may need to edit the UW CFG file.

The Thread you're meaning (I guess) does only cope with Soundcard-Configurations.
I have Sound but just get a black Screen during the Intro of Underworld 1.

System is a Intel Core2Duo with 2,8 GHz, 2GB Ram and an Intel onboard chip GMA 4500.

Well, even if this may sound stupid: The beginning of the intro is all black. You'll have to wait to the "With a sickening sense of deja-vu, you begin to dream" part, to actually see anything. Did you wait that long?

Haha, damn! I've never would have realised that, never "seen" an Intro like that. (facepalm)

Good thing we checked the basics, then. ;-)
