I'm having a weird problem with the movement in the GoG version of Ultima Underworld.
Whenever I move with the mouse or keyboard, my character moves as if he's up against a strong wind.
For example, moving east would be really fast while moving west would be really slow and it even pushes me off the path when I just want to move forward, since it doesn't let me walk straight ahead, only diagonally.

I didn't find any topics that discussed this, so maybe I'm alone with the problem.
Hopefully someone can help.

Hmm...never heard about this before.
Do you have any joysticks or gamepads connected? If so they may interfere with the input.

I managed to fix the issue. It seems that the framerate was too high, which for some reason causes the odd movement. Lowering the cycles in the dosbox config files has finally made the game playable.
I used the settings posted in this thread, and modified them to fit my liking: www ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=128590
Now the game doesn't run at 60fps, but I won't fall off platforms.

hi there,

i was playin arx fatalis on win7 64 bit and had the same problems in the lava cave. i solved the problem with the nvidia grafic card settings by activating vsync "on". perhaps this worx for u wither ...just a thought ...good luck.
