Been reliving the joy of my childhood playing Ultima III: Exodus.

Finally found the spot and 'other' command to discover the Exotic weapons and armor. The first time I searched for the exotics, I got a weapon (P). However, over 150 searches since have only resulted in armor, no more weapons.

I've had every member of the party search, readied only hands and skin, restarted the game. Nothing seems to change the outcome

My next move is to try and search with an entirely new party to see if that helps.

Any suggestions?

The weapons and armor are in different spots. If you search the place you found armor, you will only find armor there. To get weapons, you must find the spot that gives you weapons.

(Also, except in the final dungeon, the weapons are not that good because they don't work at range.)
