Hi,

How do I get to Destard? I know I need go to the mountains and dig through the ice but I don't if I go west of Paws past the mad mage's tower or the same cave that was unsealed by Lord British early in the game?

If I recall correctly, the path is found by going all the way to the approximate middle of the west coast of the mainland, then following the coast to the south. The way should start to become mountainous, bringing you eventually around to Destard.

Found it by going to Yew then following the yellow signs until a path then following the path until a burnt out village. Jumped up on a few rocks to get on to another road and then found the ice. Will the Ignite spell melt the ice?

As to the ice, I honestly don't recall offhand; why not try it and find out?

i used fireballs. 4 will do it.

don't you have your spell book? once you bind a spell to your book, you don't need any more scrolls. you should be able to cast a spell at will (as long as you have enough mana)

how come? i'm just curious. binding a spell is easier and less cumbersome than carrying around a bunch of scrolls (and less expensive than buying a whole slew of them at a crack) plus--there are a lot of scrolls that are only found once.
