I gave the smith in Trinisic 7k and 3 pieces of black rock to make a blackrock sword and when I came back the next morning he said he wasn't able to make the sword and won't give me my money back. Is this normal?

It's not clear what to do next to get the blackrock sword and I'm happy to just continue with the Trinsic plot line and see if some clues surface but I am wondering if I maybe wasn't supposed to ask the smith to make the sword yet? I'd hate to mess up the game my doing things in the wrong order.

you will definitely get your sword but you will have to wait until after you cleanse the shrine of honor. in the meantime, you can continue the story and soon you will have the awesome lightning sword!! (my personal favorite)
