This is a very useful little program that allows you to apply most of the fixes and upgrades/mods currently available for Ultima's 1-6(I believe there are some for 7 and 8 as well) without having to fiddle around with dosbox to apply them to the GOG versions, just run the patcher pick the game and what you want applied and that's it.



Plus Pix recently updated the patcher to include the newest version(3.0) of Voyager's Ultima 3 graphic and midi patch which now supports composite(16 colour) CGA/the way the game was intended to look, EGA and VGA graphics.

When I try to run Pix's patcher unfortunately it crashes every time and won't start up.

I have a funny feeling this has something to do with me trying to run it in a virtual machine with Windows XP and Mac OS X as the host OS. So far, everything else I try in this setup works but maybe there is something about the patcher that doesn't like this environment.

Unless, does the patcher have any prerequisites like Microsoft's .NET framework or something?

neosapian: thanks I just googled this and found your post! Much easier than trying to navigate the pix or Aliera site.
