How do I rebind the keys in UU1? the rebind menu through CTRL F1 tells me jack shit and I can't play with the default binds or I will get RSI. not to mention the interface and graphics make me feel sick.

I require the cursor keys for respective movements with sprint set to L shift and Up cursor, space to jump, left mouse to attack. L CTRL to duck (if possible) and any others I will think of in time. I don't even know what all the defaults are as the opening controls screen is blacked out.

Also, how do I access the automap? or do I have to use the map extra and print it out?

This one I can answer, to view the automap you need to click on the map. The map can be found in a bag very near the starting point of the game. It looks like a sheet of paper.

ETA: Regarding rebinding keys, unfortunately I can't help you there with the technical side because I'm on a Mac (which uses Boxer instead of DOSBox), so I'm not familiar with DOSBox commands (there is no rebinding within the game itself). Here however is a list of the important keys: There is no duck/crouch command. For moving there is W=run, S=walk (I use run 99% of the time), X=walk backwards. Z=strafe left, C=strafe right (I rarely ever use these keys); A=turn left, D=turn right. Other keys you may want to rebind are E=up and Q=down, which are used when levitating and flying, J=jump, 1=look up, 2=look straight, 3=look down.

ETA2: Regarding the mouse, the default is RMB=Look (click), RMB=Pick up/Talk (click-drag), RMB=Attack (when in fight mode - click on weapon in your hand to enter fight mode). LMB is used for movement (I always use the keyboard instead) and LMB=use item in your inventory. LMB+RMB=jump (I always use the keyboard instead).

Thanks.

I did notice a problem where after I managed to get the right key binds, the later key binds either didn't save or were running simultaneously with the older rebinds. e.g. I would both strafe right and run backward when pressing Left cursor.
