I have decided to shut down the CUO server because hardly anyone plays the game anymore. If you haven't given CUO a try, you've still got a couple of weeks before it's shut down.

For those of you who are not familiar with CUO, it allows you to play Ultimas I-IV online with other players using your GOG copies of Ultima. You can visit the project page at www.shatteredmoon.com to learn more.

Now that the official server is down, a stand-alone version of the CUO server and game client can now be downloaded from www.shatteredmoon.com. Even though this was meant to be a multi-player add-on for Ultima I through Ultima IV, the stand-alone version works more like XU4.

This is very much a work in progress, so feedback and bug reports are appreciated.
