The title says it all. What do you think the best Ultima game is out of 4, 5, or 6?

U6 really surprised me and became my favorite of that trilogy. It built on the world established in U4 and didn't have the terrible mandatory grind of U5.

Out of the three, I also preferred Ultima 6. The storyline evoked stronger feelings than the first two, and the world generally felt more natural as well.

Ultima V for me. I don't remember it being grindy (but granted this was 25 years ago). I think it could have been Ultima VI for me. I really loved the game at first, but unfortunately, I accidentally discovered a way to jump about 1/2 through the game to the end and ended up missing a lot of the content without completely realizing it (essentially skipped most of finding the pieces of the map), so it kind of ruined the experience for me.

While I do like 6, 5 is my favorite. It had a great story about corruption of good ideals.

Also going to say 5 is my favourite. Though I did all the grinding, stopped playing for a couple years, and then came back and played through the game with the now high level character.

Players sick of the grinding might use one of the save game editors to boost the avatar - cheating yes, but it might make the game more enjoyable - and with the karma hack you can max out your stats anyway.
