It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

Bought Aftermath the other weekend from GOG and it all seems to be great (on my Samsung N110 netbook running XP) except when you play a mission all the menus at the bottom (characters faces etc) are off screen and this makes it virtually unplayable. Have played around with display settings and compatibility modes but to no avail.
Any ideas?
Cheers

Sounds like you need to change the resolution, Does your netbook have an odd resolution like 1366x600 or something like that? You might need to change the resolution to something that fits x600 so 800x600 if possible.
Thanks!
The native resolution is 1024x600 but I have also tried the 800x600 option (those are the two I have available) and it is basically the same with both unfortunately.

As for Aftershock, the minimum native resolution to well play the game is 1024x768.
You could try running the game in windowed mode. Just right click the shortcut and open properties for it. Then put --option fullscreen=FALSE at the end of the target line, if that doesn't work try it with just one - at the beginning of it.
As said above try windowed mode, I made a post a few months ago on how to do this:
http://www.gog.com/en/forum/ufo_series/how_to_run_ufo_as_in_windowed_mode
Works in all Cenega games. If that don't work maybe upload a picture.
Hi,
Thanks for all the suggestions! Have set it up in windowed mode but unfortunately I can't push the window off the top of my screen (is there a way of doing this in Windows? - running XP) in order to see the bottom of the game screen!
Might have to except defeat and play it on a different computer (or are there fiddles for persuading the netbook to believe it has a different resolution?).
Anyway, thanks for all your help! Ten times better than the official support from GOG.
Cheers

Right-click on the Window's bar on your taskbar and click on move. Then use the cursor keys to move the window (even outside the edges of your screen). Press enter once moved where you want it to be.
I hit alt-tab to get the desktop selected and the mouse can then be moved to the top bar, it's my method but the r-clicking can work too. Just giving you options.
Hi again, my apologies for chewing up so much time with what I feel ought to be such a frustratingly simple task!
Unfotunately a right-click on the Window's bar on the taskbar does not bring up any options at all (have tried it with other windows and got it to work successfully so I'm pretty sure I have understood what you suggested).
Similarly a right-click on the top bar of the window produces no options at all, the cursor is still a game (rather than windows) cursor there, could that be the reason?
Still have not received even a sniff of a reply from GOG so would be very grateful for any further words of wisdom!
Thanks for all your efforts!

What works for me, if the game is windowed and not in a good spot I hit ALT-TAB both at once and that brings you to your mouse on the desktop. Then move the mouse over the top bar, and it's normal if it disappears just imagine where it should be. Drag the top bar to where you want with the left click, not right click.
