Bought and installed the game. Launch it and some error message pops up telling me that "X3Daudio_dll" is missing. I manage to find the file online and drag-drop it into the game folder.
Launch the game again and it tells me another dll-file is missing. Have to find that one too online. Then it tells me a third dll-file is missing.
Now the game finally launches normally. The intro-cutscenes look fine and all but in-game I get no sound whatsoever.
I've now reinstalled the game and get the same problem with missing DLL-files.

Why does this happen?
Anyone else encoutered these issues?

I'm running it on Windows 7 64-bit. DX11 and updated sound drivers

Not sure about the sound, but the missing files are probably DX9 files. I suggest grabbing the DirectX9.0c runtime from Microsoft's website. I think the latest version is June 2010. Even though Win7 has DX11, there are some files that are not included that are used by DX9 applications. This may possibly fix your sound problem as well.
Installed DX9.0c. Now the game just crashes back to desktop with the message: "Two Worlds has stopped working".

urgh... I hate computers sometimes

Try reinstalling the game now that you have DirectX 9.0c installed. Things probably got messed up when you were grabbing individual .dll files before. Make sure you fully delete the game folder so all extra .dll files are gone before reinstalling.

Also if you are running Vista or Windows 7 make sure you install and run the game as administrator.
Nevermind. Apparently installing the latest version of PhysX did the trick. Weird, since I thought it only affected Nvidia cards(I have an AMD card).

PhysX can be run on the CPU rather than GPU, and in fact many games do this so that people with AMD cards can still play. Some games feature optional support for hardware-accelerated PhysX, which requires an Nvidia card, but allows extra physics features in the game (Arkham Asylum does this, for example).

I forgot about the PhysX fix for Two Worlds... I should have mentioned it because it's a well-known issue, which I encountered myself. Oops!

Anyway, glad you got the game working.

I know this topic is a bit old, but I just got the game and am having the same issues using Windows 7 with an Intel GMA 950 card. I've found the dll files, downloaded DX9, but still have no sound in-game.

Anyone know how to fix this?

When you say you found the .dll files, do you mean you looked for individual files? Because that won't work, you need to run the full installation of DX9. If that doesn't work, I'm not sure how to fix it. Anyone else have ideas?

Copying files manually won't work, if that's what you did. Download and install the latest DirectX End-User Runtimes.

If you put DirectX DLLs in the game's folder as part of the attempted fix you will need to delete them.
I have the same problema. It says that X3DAudio1_1dll is missing. I have tried to install the ageia phyxs, tried to install latest nvidia phyxs, yet it always says that the file is missing.

How do i solve this?

This is a DirectX error; install the DirectX End-User Runtimes. That will install the missing files.
