In Trine 2, does the GOG version allow online co-op or is just local co-op? I know the Steam version lets you play online co-op and that's a major factor in purchasing it for wife and I.

Thanks :)

Though I haven't yet played it (going to wait until my sister installs), it does look like it's perfectly possible to play co-op online.

I can access a public server list online, or open a lobby to host public or private games which I expect would appear on that list (or be accessible through the "search by password" field at the bottom).

I'll get back to you when we've tried it out. Which should be sometime this week.

i can confirm that it works.

we have finished a playthrough not too long ago with 3 players over a couple of nights.
my wife and me from one househould and a friend of ours from another state. didnt matter who was the host, worked in all instances.

Edit: as the previous poster suspected, private matches can be found by the password filter.

We finally got to play today. We had some issues with the multiplayer. When I hosted, she couldn't join my game for some reason. Maybe because of firewall ports.

Luckily I could join a game she was hosting. Though for some reason there were a number of settings she couldn't change (classic or unlimited mode). I'm not sure what's up with that. Will have to investigate.

It's quite a lot of fun to experiment with the options to tackle obstacles. And there are many options, even without a 3rd player.
