Do we get the mac version any time or do I have to get it from steam? I would rather buy it here on GOG...

Steam doesn't have the Mac version either, as it hasn't been released yet. Official word on the transport fever 2 website, from Tom, their "Community Manager", is that a MacOS version will be released "in 2020". No indication any more precise than that. Presumably when the release happens, it'll happen simultaneously on both gog and steam and any other stores.
