For a while, Tomb Raider 4 was saving without a problem. My last save, for example, was at 1 hour and 37 minutes. From then on, however, it wouldn't save. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, starting a new save file which continued to save perfectly. However, the same problem happened again. Currently running on Windows 7.

Unfortunately, Tomb Raider 4 is known to cause problems on newer systems like Windows 7.

Have you tried installing the Tomb Raider update?

It should be located in your game library, and a fresh install is needed to apply the patch. Usually, compatiblity options should be disabled if you install the update.

Additionally, you can try installing the game to C:\Games\TombRaider4 or just C:\Games\TOMB4 to see if that helps.

Where should the patch be located? Not sure if I have it installed, which I didn't intentionally do, or if I'm just looking in the wrong place.
Open gog.com, go to My Account/My Games, click on your Tomb Raider 4 game. That's the place you download the game and/or the bonus content. There you should see "Tomb Raider patch" or "Tomb Raider Universal Update." Download it, and install it. The Gog team recommends to have a fresh installation of Tomb Raider when you apply the patch.
